Walters Family Festival: Once Upon a Time
The Walters Art Museum invites you and your family to celebrate stories and legends, books and their makers, authors and calligraphers and more! Learn about different methods of storytelling and illustration. Create books, meet famous authors throughout the ages, travel through a fairy tale in an exploratory zone created by the Enoch Pratt Library.

Carnival Cruise Line's Fun City: Baltimore
Break out your favorite spring clothes and head down to Baltimore's Inner Harbor to experience Carnival Cruise Line's Fun City: Baltimore, a one-day event to celebrate the launch of Carnival's new year-round cruise service. On Saturday, April 25 from 10:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., travel to nine different "Fun Spots" located around the harbor and enjoy a day of entertainment, festivities, children's activities, music and much more. The Fun Spots include a Carnival Fun Booth, Sand Sculpture station, 3-D Chalk Art, Live Musical and Dance Performances, a Guinness Book of World Record's Beach Ball, Camp Carnival Kids Zone with balloon giveaways (biodegradable) and an interactive aquarium. The Fun City event kicks off Carnival's new cruise program from Baltimore featuring the spectacular Carnival Pride, which will make its debut on Monday, April 27th.
Carnival is the largest and most popular cruise line in the world, with 22 "Fun Ships" operating voyages ranging from three to 12 days in length to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, New England, Bermuda and Europe. Station North Music Festival
The Station North Arts & Entertainment District will host the 2009 Station North Spring Music Festival to celebrate the continuing revitalization of the North Avenue area. The festival will showcase local music, artists and venues and will help raise money for participation in Artscape.

- Surface lot at 2 East North Avenue (the old Bank of America building), Joe Squared, Windup Space, Metro Gallery, Hexagon, I-Bar and The Zodiac.
- Musical performances by Big in Japan, Lafayette Gilchrist and Charlie Sayles along with Il Culo, The Neftones, The Water, Point Juncture, The Owls Go, Nate Meyers and The Aces.
- Local artist Brady Starr will open a new show at Joe Squared. Load of Fun will host an evening of burlesque and variety by Glitterama, and Echo Gallery will host Brouhaha, an experimental fashion event. (There will be an admission charge for both the Glitterama and Brouhaha shows.)
Additional musical, theater and arts events are being added to the 2009 Station North Spring Music Festival, and the festival organizers expect the full lineup will include at least 20 acts from Baltimore and the region. You can get more information at

Free City Scavenger Hunt
All you need to win some great prizes is your own two feet. Use them to take part in a free city scavenger hunt on Sunday that will require a little knowledge of Baltimore and some exploration skills to navigate your way from start to finish.

Poe's Humor & Horror
Poe laughs! Did you know that Edgar Allan Poe wrote comedy? Romantic comedy? If you believe in love at first sight, see what kind of trouble you can get into. On Sunday, April 26 at 11:30 a.m. come to the Baltimore Visitor Center and see Edgar Allan Poe's "The Spectacles" played by David Keltz. For all ages. Then, if you're the type who loves Poe for his horror stories, come back at 2:00 p.m. to see Poe's classic "The Tell-Tale Heart" also performed by David Keltz in his signature role as Edgar Allan Poe.
