Lust. Power. Murder. Shakespeare's masterpiece Richard III has all the ingredients for a exciting tale, driven by one of his most enigmatic title characters. Richard, Duke of Gloucester, is brother to King Edward. After a long and troublesome war, England appears to be settling into a comfortable time of peace under Edward's reign. That is, until Richard sets his eyes on the throne. Blazing a bloody trail to the top, Richard manipulates his way to the crown, leaving behind him a swath of dead family members and befuddled royalty. Single Carrot Theatre's intimate, accessible version of this tragedy seats the audience so close that they're part of the tale, feeling every bit of tension and danger along the way. Free beer and wine served with ticket purchase.
